Check Out The City Homes Year In Review

Green Building

City Homes is actively engaging in sustainable building practices and embracing eco-friendly construction. Achieving a -20 HERS (Home Energy Rating System) index score on a recently completed new construction project is an impressive accomplishment, and it demonstrates our commitment to high energy efficiency in the completed home. This home went the distance with geothermal energy, all-electric systems, and solar power. All of these further contribute to the reduction of environmental impact and reliance on traditional energy sources.

Becoming a registered builder for "Energy Star" and "Zero Energy Ready Home" reflects City Homes' dedication to meeting and exceeding energy efficiency standards, and it positions the company as a leader in sustainable construction practices. These certifications not only benefit the environment but also enhance the quality, comfort, and long-term cost savings for homeowners.

The upcoming new construction project in Arden Hills will be Net Zero and Energy star rated. Net Zero homes are designed to produce as much energy as they consume, making them highly sustainable and energy-efficient. Sharing the progress and outcomes of such projects helps raise awareness about the possibilities and benefits of green building practices.

As sustainability becomes increasingly important in the construction industry, City Homes' proactive approach to exploring and implementing eco-friendly options aligns with the broader trend towards responsible and environmentally conscious building practices. It not only meets the demands of environmentally conscious clients but also contributes positively to the community and the planet.

City Homes is proud of these sustainable achievements, and we are excited about the upcoming Net Zero and Energy Star-rated construction project in Arden Hills. It's exciting to see client’s commitment to sustainable building.

THE TIME TO BUILD IS NOW

Now is the opportune moment to embark on construction endeavors. The trend indicates a steady upward trajectory in building activity year after year. Land prices and construction costs show no signs of decreasing, and my belief is that they will persist in their current upward trend. For those who are contemplating a wait-and-see approach, I can attest, based on extensive bidding, exploration, and research into various segments, subcontractors, vendors, and more efficient building methods, that these prices are here to stay.

"Working with Rebecca Remick, and City Homes, has never been short of exceptional. Rebecca shoots straight, has an excellent team around her, and makes the process enjoyable as opposed to stressful. They always say never take it personally. Rebecca does, and it's what makes she and City Homes great. "

City Homes Row Home Stand Alone and Row Home Communities

Adapting to the dynamics of the current real estate market, City Homes is strategically developing row home communities to address the challenge of soaring land costs. This approach is designed to provide a more cost-effective solution in response to the prevailing real estate landscape.

City Homes is also attuned to the diverse housing needs spanning different generations. For Baby boomers and empty nesters, a thoughtful incorporation of the "lock and walk" concept has been implemented. This concept is particularly beneficial for those who spend winters out of state, offering convenience and peace of mind.

Moreover, City Homes is committed to addressing the evolving requirements of aging in place. This includes the integration of essential amenities such as elevators, curbless showers, accessible entries into the home, enhanced lighting, and wider walkways. These considerations are aimed at ensuring that residents experience not only comfortable living spaces but also homes that are designed for safety and ease of movement as they age in place
