Designed on the same Lake Minnetonka property that we completed an extensive remodel for the family, this ADU was created to give the homeowners more space for guests, work and entertaining while strengthening the connection between the main home and the lake.

The guest house provides comfortable accommodations for visiting family and friends along with dedicated home office space, allowing it to serve multiple purposes throughout the year. But an equally important part of the design was how the new structure could help the entire property live better.

Positioned to create a more natural connection to Lake Minnetonka, the home extends the family’s living and entertaining spaces toward the water. It creates another place to gather before or after a day on the lake and makes the waterfront feel like an integral part of the home rather than simply the view beyond it.
