This renovation was about taking a home that felt dated and compartmentalized and rethinking the main floor around the way families live today. Walls were removed, rooms were reconfigured and previously disconnected spaces were opened up to create better flow from the moment you walk through the door.

The new layout brings the kitchen, dining and family room together into one bright, connected living space. Large black-framed windows bring in natural light, while the warm wood floors, white cabinetry and wood island keep the open interior feeling comfortable and inviting. A streamlined black fireplace adds a modern focal point without overwhelming the room.

Function was just as important as opening things up. A new mudroom, exercise room and defined entry foyer give the family dedicated spaces for everyday routines while keeping the main living areas open and uncluttered.
