This Edina renovation was designed around a young family whose needs were changing as their family grew. Rather than starting over, the goal was to make the home they already had work better for the next stage of their lives.

Much of the existing home received a fresh update, while several larger changes added meaningful new space and function. An addition above the garage created valuable square footage for the growing family without unnecessarily expanding the home’s footprint.

The lower level was transformed into a place focused on wellness, recreation and family life, including a dedicated exercise room, sauna and hockey shooting area. These spaces were designed specifically around the family’s interests and how they wanted to use their home every day.

The result is a renovation that goes beyond a facelift. By improving the existing spaces and thoughtfully adding new ones, the home was able to grow along with the family—giving them more room to live, play and stay in the Edina neighborhood they already called home.
