This Lake Minnetonka home was designed around one idea: make it the place where everyone can come and stay. Built for a family that loves to entertain, the home can comfortably sleep up to 22 people while still giving guests privacy and space of their own.

The kitchen sets the tone with bold Kelly green, Notre Dame-inspired cabinetry, warm wood floors and an oversized island that works just as well for breakfast as it does for a house full of guests. The homeowners weren’t afraid of color or personality, and that sense of fun carries throughout the home. A tucked-away Marvin door disappears into the wall, completely opening the kitchen to the screened porch. With EZ-Screens and Ipe decking, the porch becomes an extension of the kitchen and creates the ultimate indoor-outdoor gathering space overlooking the lake.

Upstairs, four guest bedrooms each have their own ensuite bathroom, allowing family and friends to stay for extended visits without sacrificing privacy or comfort.

The walkout lower level was designed specifically for lake life and larger groups. A custom bunk room sleeps 12, but just as much thought went into how those 12 people would actually function in the space. Separate girls’ and boys’ bathroom, shower and changing areas are connected by a common sink area, while individual privacy curtains make each bunk feel like its own little retreat.

Durable polished concrete flooring throughout this area was an intentional choice for wet feet and the constant coming and going from the lake. A dedicated lake storage room keeps gear organized, and a second washer and dryer downstairs means swimsuits and towels can be handled right where they’re used instead of traveling through the entire house.

This is a lake home designed to be full of people. Every detail, from sleeping 22 to the bunk-room bathrooms, lake laundry and disappearing porch door, was considered around what happens when family and friends actually arrive. It’s colorful, comfortable and incredibly functional—a home meant for long weekends, summer days on the water and a lot of people around the table.
