City Homes prices our construction projects on a cost-plus fee basis, fully disclosed to our clients. Our easy-to-use online system allows the client, our team, and our subcontractors to access project information at any time throughout the job. Plans, specifications, budget, schedule, finish selections, change orders, and all project communications are accessible at any time.

Design & Selections

The Architect

Forming your team of experts is important. As part of our process, we will help you find the ideal architect, with the right style, price, and personality to design your dream home. There are many to choose from, and we have built strong relationships with several who are trusted in the industry. We are here to help you during the entire process and will work with you and your architect throughout the completion of your home.

The Interior Designer

Once you secure the architect for your project, we will then help you find an interior designer. They can help you determine the style and details in each room—from the ceiling height to the windows and woodwork—so that each space flows with the aesthetics of the entire home. We have wonderful relationships with large interior design firms and small boutique studios, and we can help you find the perfect team for your project.

Bidding & Cost Estimating

Time-Tested Subcontractors

Our team competitively bids every aspect of the project with time-tested contractors we know and trust, and who have proven their expertise through the years.

Form Cost Statements

We operate with a fully open-book philosophy: we show all bids and invoices to you for approval before they go into the cost statement. Once bids for line items have been approved, we hold contractors accountable for their commitments to timeline, cost, and craftsmanship. Other than changes made by you during the process, the amounts on the approved cost statement will not change for you. We do not ask you to sign a construction contract until we have a final home design, material selections, and a budget that meets your expectations.

Easy Payment Coordination

We manage payments and lien releases with a third party title company through a draw process. Your payments are disbursed directly to those who have delivered materials to the site, completed their work, and invoiced us.

Building Your Home

Hands-On General Contractor

When you choose City Homes, your entire project will be coordinated by a hands-on general contractor who is there every step of the way, providing professional advice and expertise—from our first conversation, through design, into material selection, and throughout the final steps of construction, landscaping, and warranty maintenance.

Efficient Project Direction

Our team of talented and experienced field managers supervise the day-to-day details at your home site and make sure everything is running smoothly and efficiently.
